Labor and Employment / Litigation

Christopher A. Barrett is an associate with the firm and concentrates his practice in labor and employment and complex civil litigation.  Mr. Barrett specializes in counseling employers regarding human resource issues such as hiring, discipline, and discharge, compliance with federal and state laws, and creation of internal policies and regulations.  He handles and provides guidance as collective bargaining issues including contract negotiations, grievances and arbitrations. He has trial experience in state courts and state and federal administrative agencies .Mr. Barrett provides training for employers regarding affirmative action sexual harassment, discrimination  and workplace privacy.  He also has experience providing counsel to various public agencies and boards including local school boards and municipalities.

While at Widener University School of Law, Mr. Barrett was a Student Advocate and member of the Veterans’ Law Clinic where he counseled and represented Veterans and their families before the United States Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Barrett served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Nelson C. Johnson of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Atlantic County.
