Litigation

Stephen J. DeFeo is a partner with the firm. He concentrates his practice in complex litigation including commercial litigation, product liability litigation, employment contract disputes, class actions, asbestos litigation, and personal injury matters.

Mr. DeFeo has represented businesses such as Mars, Incorporated; Reynolds American, Inc.; SAP America, Inc.; TD Bank, N.A.; Daikin Applied; McQuay International; Glen-Gery Corporation; Porter Capital; D & B Engineering, Inc.; AllRisk, Inc.; Beckman Coulter, Inc.; Consensus Health, LLC; The Sherwin-Williams Company; Danaher Corporation; and Forensic Consultants of North America, LLC.

Mr. DeFeo is on the Board of Directors for the Visiting Nurses Association of Central Jersey. He also serves on the City Year Philadelphia Idealist Dinner Committee.

Mr. DeFeo served on the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Character from 1996-2010.

After law school, Mr. DeFeo served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable James D. Clyne and the Honorable Peter J. Giovine of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Ocean County.

Mr. DeFeo graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in 1982. He earned his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law in 1985. After law school, Mr. DeFeo served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable James D. Clyne and the Honorable Peter J. Giovine of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Ocean County.

Mr. DeFeo was admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in 1985. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States

Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Camden County, and Ocean County Bar Associations.
