Carmen Y. Day is an associate with the firm and concentrates her practice in labor and employment, complex civil litigation, and municipal law matters. Ms. Day defends individuals and management in all employment related matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, hostile work environment, retaliation, and whistleblower claims in state and federal courts. She also investigates claims of potential employment law violations on behalf of employers.
Ms. Day earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University, graduating magna cum laude. She earned her Juris Doctor degree, graduating in the top 20% of her class, in 2020 from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Day served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ann M. Donio, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and as a Certified Legal Intern for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and the Rutgers University School of Law, Children’s Justice Clinic.
Ms. Day is a founding member of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She also serves a co-chair of the Rutgers Alumni for Diversity, Inclusion and Community-Building in the Law (RADICAL) Committee, board member of the I Dare 2 Care Association, and Founder of the “Take a Chance on Law” program. She also does motivational speaking at area schools and community groups.
Ms. Day was admitted to practice in New Jersey in 2020. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
