Christine P. O’Hearn is a partner with the firm and concentrates her practice in labor and employment and complex civil litigation. Ms. O’Hearn is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. She has been a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court since 2007. In 2004, Ms. O’Hearn was selected as one of the “Top 40 Attorneys Under 40” in New Jersey by the New Jersey Law Journal for the second time. She was previously selected in 2002. In 2003, Ms. O’Hearn’s achievements were recognized by the New Jersey Law Journal and featured in its “Women and Minorities in the Legal Profession.” Most recently, in 2014, Ms. O’Hearn was named one of the “Best in the Business” in South Jersey Biz Magazine. She is “AV” rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Ms. O’Hearn defends individuals and management in all employment related matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment and hostile work environment and wage and hour disputes in the state and federal courts as well as before the New Jersey Division of Civil Rights, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She represents many public entities as labor counsel and in defense of litigation claims. She prepares, drafts and negotiates employment contracts and represents employers in litigation matters related to alleged breaches of contract and restrictive covenant and non-compete provisions. She has experience representing public employers before various administrative agencies including the New Jersey Civil Service Commission, the New Jersey Public Employee Relations Commission and the Office of Administrative Law. Ms. O’Hearn also represents employers in union related matters including matters before the National Labor Relations Board such as petitions for certification, elections, and unfair labor practices as well as collective bargaining negotiations, grievances and arbitrations.

Ms. O’Hearn assists employers in implementing policies and strategies to prevent employment litigation claims including drafting and review of employment handbooks and employment policies. She regularly conducts employee and management training sessions on subject matters which include discrimination in the workplace, sexual harassment, performance evaluations, discipline, etc.
