Jeffrey R. Johnson is a Partner with the firm whose practice covers a wide range of complex civil and appellate matters including commercial, banking, construction, insurance, class action, civil rights, subrogation and personal injury litigation. Mr. Johnson also conducts internal corporate and organizational investigations and represents government entities. He uses his breadth of experience and sensitivity to the concerns of businesses and individuals to efficiently guide clients through the uncertain world of litigation.
Mr. Johnson has developed a specialized practice area representing banks and financial institutions in claims arising from check fraud and unauthorized financial transactions. He successfully assists clients in navigating claims and defenses involving banking law and regulation including the Uniform Commercial Code, Electronic Funds Transfer Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Federal Regulation CC and Federal Regulation E.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Johnson served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office where he gained considerable trial experience. He also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Frank M. Lario, Jr. of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Camden County. While at Rutgers University School of Law, he received honors for Best Oral Argument in Moot Court.
Mr. Johnson is member of the Board of Trustees of South Jersey Legal Services, Inc., a non-profit organization created to provide quality legal representation and advocacy to low-income individuals. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Haddonfield Little League.
