Margaret McHugh is an associate with the firm and concentrates her practice in labor and employment.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. McHugh worked in private practice with a focus on labor and employment and municipal government, representing private and public sector clients in federal, state, municipal, and administrative matters.

Ms. McHugh was selected as a New Jersey “Rising Star” attorney by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2024, an honor given to less than 2.5% of all of New Jersey’s practicing attorneys. She was also selected as an “Awesome Attorney” for Labor & Employment by South Jersey Magazine in 2021 and 2022.

Ms. McHugh also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Aimee R. Belgard, P.J., New Jersey Superior Court, Burlington County, from 2018 to 2019.

Ms. McHugh earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Rutgers University in 2014. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law—Camden in 2018. While in law school, Ms. McHugh was the Assistant Managing Editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion and was published in the Journal’s 19th volume.

Ms. McHugh was admitted to practice in New Jersey in 2019. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District for the District of New Jersey and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Ms. McHugh is a member of the Burlington County Bar Association and serves as a Bar Trustee for the 2024-2027 term.
