On December 4, 2024, Kayla L. Louis, Esq. and Arlette Leyba, Esq. presented a CLE on the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) as part of the Camden County Bar Association’s “All You Can CLE” event.

The PWFA, codified at 42 U.S.C. 2000gg, requires a covered entity to provide reasonable accommodations to a qualified employee’s or applicant’s known limitations related to, affected by, or arising out of pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions, absent undue hardship on the operation of the business of the covered entity.

The presentation by Ms. Louis and Ms. Leyba reviewed the key provisions of the PWFA and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s regulations on the PWFA and discussed real-world applications of the PWFA and related compliance strategies.

Ms. Louis and Ms. Leyba are both associates with the firm and concentrate their practice in labor and employment and complex civil litigation.
