Donald K. Ludman is a partner with the firm. His practice is concentrated in commercial litigation, business transactions, creditors’ rights, and bankruptcy.
Mr. Ludman litigates matters involving commercial transactions, business ownership disputes, property and commercial leases, and the enforcement of creditors’ rights. Mr. Ludman represents secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy, and he has extensive experience enforcing the intellectual property rights of a global software company in bankruptcy proceedings throughout the United States.
Mr. Ludman counsels clients regarding business formation and planning, information technology, software licensing, and product commercialization.
Mr. Ludman represents buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of business entities and assets, including through bankruptcy and collateral liquidation sales. Mr. Ludman represents lenders in commercial loan transactions and enforcement actions. He also represents landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ludman was General Counsel to Versalign, Inc. (f/k/a AmeriStar Technologies, Inc.), a Delaware-based information technology services provider, systems integrator, and reseller with operations in several states. While at Versalign, Mr. Ludman oversaw litigation and provided legal support for all aspects of the company’s operations, including labor and employment, contract development and negotiations, commercial leasing, and collections.
Mr. Ludman graduated in 1996 from West Chester University with a bachelor’s degree in political science, with a concentration in public administration. He earned his law degree, cum laude, in 2000 from Widener University School of Law, where he served on The Widener Law Symposium Journal.
Mr. Ludman was admitted to practice law in Delaware in 2000 and New Jersey in 2004. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. Mr. Ludman is a member of the American Bar Association and the Delaware, New Jersey, and Gloucester County Bar Associations. Mr. Ludman has served as a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Character since 2014.
