Joseph M. Garemore is a partner with the firm. He concentrates his practice in business and commercial litigation, including bankruptcy litigation, state court insolvency proceedings and all matters relating to creditors’ rights. Mr. Garemore has represented creditors in state and federal courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in a variety of areas including mortgage fraud matters, foreclosure matters, bankruptcy proceedings, preference defense litigation, automotive financing and leasing matters, equipment financing and leasing matters, and general collection matters.
Mr. Garemore also has experience representing clients at the trial and appellate levels in a variety of commercial litigation matters including business litigation, landlord-tenant disputes, matters involving community associations, estate and probate matters, environmental litigation and partition actions.
In addition to his litigation practice Mr. Garemore has experience representing clients in transactional matters including buyers and sellers of business assets and of interests in real estate; and in counseling business organizations, commercial lenders, borrowers, landlords, tenants, and liquor license applicants in a variety of matters.
Mr. Garemore has been certified since 2005 by the American Board of Certification, an accrediting organization recognized by the American Bar Association, as a Creditors’ Rights Specialist. Mr. Garemore is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Certification.
Mr. Garemore graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 1989. He earned his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden in 1992 where he served as an Associate Editor of the Rutgers Law Journal from 1991-1992. After graduating from law school, he served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Myron H. Gottlieb of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Burlington County.
Mr. Garemore was admitted to practice in New Jersey in 1993, and in Pennsylvania in 1992. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar and Burlington County Bar associations, as well as the American Bankruptcy Institute.
